The other week, I did something a little silly.
I ordered $300 worth of clothes from Goodnight Macaroon without really knowing anything about the quality, fit and reliability of their clothes and service. I knew I was taking a gamble but there were so many beautiful things and I just couldn't say no to updating my wardrobe with some fresh new tops.
Well ladies and ... probably just ladies ... the clothes were waiting for me when I got to my UK home at 3am yesterday morning (I always take the evening flight, grazie Ryanair!) I ripped the package open, tore one of the tops from its cellophane wrapper, held it up and cooed in delight at the quality of the material.
Then I hit the hay.
The next morning I tried it all on and I have to say, I just couldn't be happier! This is what I bought from the website and hopefully soon I'll do a little fashion show for you all and show what it looks like on!
I bought everything in size M (UK 10) and it fits perfectly.

I'm in love with it all and can't believe how perfect all of the clothes are. There's loads of new stock on the site since I last looked so I'm pretty sure I know where my next pay check will be going. Uh oh!

DeleteHi! I noticed you said you bought everything in M. Are you able to provide size reference? I notice their clothes are from HK so I thought they might run a bit smaller. In particular hows the sizing for the fitted stripe ruffle top? Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm a UK size 10 on top which normally fits me very well. I would say that the M would also fit a UK size 12 as I have a bit of extra room in all of them without them being too baggy. The striped ruffle top is a bit loose around my waist but fits my chest well (I'm never going to get anything non-lycra to fit everywhere sadly!) and hangs quite nicely with the back dipping lower than the front but not too much :) xxx
DeleteSorry to be a party pooper but I found the exact same items that I ordered from GM on a different website for a fraction of a price. I bought a lace dress from GM and paid $98 found it on the other website for $23. I tried contacting them about other items on there website being WAY cheaper on other ones and they have not responded. I spent about the same you did on stuff that should of been less than $100. Feeling a little ripped off. Not only are the items the same but so are the images. They have tons of stuff that GM has on there sight for literally a fraction of the price.

DeleteHey I was about to comment the same thing! Their clothes are ridiculously expensive and I found exactly the same designs ( and the same quality mind u) on this other website! Anyway, the thing that annoys me most is that all their pictures on instagram are from those websites ! The recent green checkered coat that I wanted was only 20 usd on the other website but selling for arnd 200 usd on goodnightmacaroon . They might claim the material used is different.. But it won't be. I have bought stuff there too many times to know which are good to buy. They set ultra high prices making us all believe that the material they are using are top grade but it's such a sham. Glad you liked ur stuff though.

ReplyDeleteAs the author, I spent slightly over $300 dollars without really knowing what to expect but trusting on the reviews I've read online and the appearance of the clothes' pictures, which were of high quality.
However, when the clothes arrived I was very disappointed. You could see the poor craftsmanship immediately. I bought a piece that simulated a sweatshirt over a plaid shirt. When you turn the piece inside out you can see how they awfully sewed the plaid fabric to the sweatshirt. They didn't even cut the fabric properly so some bits were hanging there... it looked like the job of an amateur or inexperienced person. And what amazes me is that they charged me $75 dollars for that.
Cheap cheap fabric and awful finish. This in my opinion has scam all written over.
Please beware of this store.
I like most of those clothes. I think that this modern fashion suits alot to my own taste of style. Good for me.

Hey, I haven't ordered anything since this haul (mainly because I am a poor, poor student haha) but the things I did order were great quality and lasted forever - I still wear the denim shirt all the time and I love it. I don't know what it's like now but will post an update if I do have another splurge :) xxx
